A violent situation unfolded on Friday afternoon in a large condominium complex nestled off Township Line Road.

When officers arrived to a shooting call around 12:30 p.m. at The Edge at Yardley complex off Township Line Road in Lower Makefield, a man with multiple gunshot wounds laid lifeless on the walkway outside a ground-floor apartment in a pool of blood.
Responding officers began their work and were interrupted as a neighbor yelled from a second floor balcony that they saw the murder happen and the suspect retreated back into the apartment. The officers heard the warning and began to take cover, leading additional units to the scene, according to a resident video reviewed by LevittownNow.com.
As officers from Lower Makefield and surrounding departments rushed to the 18000 block of Cornerstone Drive, the decision was made to call the South Central Emergency Response Team to confront the shooting suspect.

Within a short time, officers began making attempts to contact the suspected shooter, while large armored SWAT vehicles were used to ferry surrounding residents to safety, according to neighbors and police.

Around 4:30 p.m., tactical officers made entry into 59-year-old Brian Moyer’s apartment. Inside, he was found deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, police said.

By 5 p.m., the tactical team began to clear out and detectives started their work to learn more about the apparent murder-suicide.
The name of the man killed outside of the condo was not released as of Friday evening.
Lower Makefield police said they were working with Bucks County Detectives to obtain search warrants, process the crime scene, and conduct interviews.

The motive for the shooting was not yet known, police said.
Township Line Road was closed for several hours Friday afternoon and into the early evening.

Sources said one person was found dead outside of a condominium in the afternoon and a second was found deceased inside the unit in The Edge at Yardley complex off Township Line Road in Lower Makefield about two hours later. The second person found was believed to be the suspect.

Police from around the area were at a condominium complex following a reported shooting.
Township Line Road on the Middletown Township and Lower Makefield border was closed between Big Oak Road and Langhorne-Yardley Road as of mid-afternoon Friday. Officers in tactical gear were seen outside the The Edge at Yardley condominium complex on Cornerstone Drive in Lower Makefield.

Law enforcement sources said the incident involved a person being struck by gunfire in the area.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office said they were on the scene along with local authorities.
