Police are investigating a threat against an area charter school.
Tullytown Chief of Police Daniel Doyle said a report about a threat of violence at the Center for Student Learning Charter School came through the state’s new Safe2Say system Sunday night. Investigators jumped on the tip, and as of Monday evening, they believed the threat was unfounded.

After discussions between school administration and police, the Center for Student Learning will open Tuesday and officers will be posted there, Doyle said.
Although the threat appeared unfounded, Doyle said officers are continuing the investigate it.
“As always, we are grateful to our students and community members who help keep our school community safe by reporting their concerns,” a statement from the police department read.
