The school was evacuated and students who did not feel well were examined by the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad and Bensalem EMS. Neshaminy School District Superintendent Joseph Jones told LevittownNow.com no students had to be transported to the hospital.

As of 3:30 p.m., authorities had determined that higher-than-normal carbon monoxide levels were caused by a problem in the kitchen, Jones said.

Staff watched over students as they played outside the building as emergency responders responded to the problem.
