SUV Catches Fire During Afternoon Commute

An SUV burst into flames along I-95 Friday afternoon.

Crews from several fire companies and the Middletown Fire Marshal’s Office rushed to the scene along northbound I-95 between in Bristol and Penndel/Levittown exits in Middletown.

The fire was reported around 3:10 p.m. and the northbound lanes were closed for a short period of time while firefighters put down the flames.

No serious injuries were reported.
