Bucks County officials advised residents with Xfinity Voice Edge and Comcast Business phone service to keep their cell phones handy.
The warning came Wednesday evening as Comcast internet phone service was experiencing trouble connecting calls.

“In an emergency situation, if you can not directly get through on your [Xfinity Voice Edge and Comcast Business] phone, do not waste time trying again. Use your cellular phone,” officials said.
In an emergency, officials said to call 9-1-1 using their cell phones.
“Our engineers began working to address the issue immediately and services have been restored for most of our customers. We recognize that some customers are still impacted and we expect the issue to be fully resolved shortly. We have every resource focused on getting everyone back online and apologize again to the customers who were affected,” a Comcast spokesperson told Mashable.
