Pennsylvania State Police said three people were on a trip from North Carolina to Massachusetts when a fatal crash happened Thursday.

An initial investigation by troopers found the driver of the vehicle lost control coming off the northbound I-95 at the Penndel/Levittown exit ramp Thursday around 10:55 a.m. in Middletown. The vehicle ended up crashing into an area filled with brush and trees.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by a deputy coroner, state police said.
A man from Morristown, Tennessee, and another man from Morriston, Florida, were passengers in the vehicle. The Tennessee man suffered a head and neck injury and the Florida man was unhurt, state police said.

Firefighters from several departments were dispatched to the off-ramp around 10:55 a.m. Thursday for a report of a crash with at least one person entrapped.
As of 11:30 a.m., firefighters, medics and state troopers were on the scene.
