The Grundy Commons in Bristol Borough played host to the third annual Salon du Soleil Saturday night. During the event, artists and guests gathered in celebration of art and the summer solstice.

This year, Dierolf was not able to have a part of Salon du Soleil after moving out of the area. Andreoli took to organizing the festival in her studio on her own. Although the focus of the festival has shifted slightly towards the music, traditional artists and filmmakers were still celebrated and featured.
Nine bands performed throughout the night, which spanned from the early evening until midnight. A food truck, Neshaminy Creek Brewing and Got Wine were all present to satiate the hunger and thirst of the crowds.
“It’s always something a little different,” Andreoli explained about the focus of the art presented each year.

This year, the focus was Mother Earth. The timing of the festival falls near the summer solstice, making a celebration of the season the spirit of the festival.
“I just do this because I really love the art and love the music,” Andreoli explained. “It’s really just a celebration of art.”

Andreoli said that she would like to see the event continue into future years, but nothing is certain. She is looking for sponsors for future art shows.
Salon du Soleil is part of a greater movement in Bristol Borough to embrace and make more public the art culture already present.
