Wood Services has released a statement on the former employee:
Woods has a zero tolerance policy with respect to any neglect or abuse of the people we serve. Ensuring the safety of the individuals entrusted to our care is our top priority. This incident was reported immediately to the appropriate investigative authorities and the staff member involved was immediately suspended without pay and removed from the premises pending the result of the investigation. We were notified on Friday, February 24, 2017 that the authorities had completedย their investigation and as a result, the employee was formally terminated.

A Philadelphia man is being charged in connection with an alleged assault on a 13-year-old.
Shawn Green, 25, is accused of punching a 13-year-old he was charged with caring for at the Woods Services school in Langhorne Borough.

According to an affidavit filed by Langhorne police Chief Steve Mawhinney, Green was taking care of the victim, a resident at Woods School, when he punched the victim in the face. There were multiple other employees who witnessed the assault.
Court documents state that the victim was diagnosed with a transverse nasal bridge fracture.

Green wasย charged with multiple misdemeanors including endangering the welfare of children, two simple assault charges, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and summary charges of harassment and disorderly conduct.ย Green is being summoned by the court for a preliminary hearingย next month.
A spokesperson from Woods Services was not able to comment on personnel matters relating to the charges.
