Car Fire Sends Black Smoke Into Sky, Closes Southbound Route 13

A vehicle burst into flames and spewed thick black smoke Friday along Route 13 in Tullytown.

The fire-engulfed vehicle was on the side of southbound Route 13 before the Fallsington Avenue intersection.

Firefighters rushed to the scene and put down the flames around 2:30 p.m. Traffic was directed off Route 13 at Mill Creek Road while the flames were extinguished.

Police said no injuries were reported.
