The mother of two robbery suspects – one who was shot dead after attacking a customer – and the other suspect’s pregnant girlfriend waived their right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday.
Robin Lynn Soto, 52, of Middletown, and Chasity Demi Ramos, 25, of Bristol Township, waived charges of conspiracy and robbery onto Doylestown for trial before a scheduled preliminary hearing at District Judge Daniel Baranoski’s court in Penndel.

The two women are accused by police of scoping out Porfirio’s II Pizza in the Skyline Shopping Center in Middletown’s Levittown section before Justin Rose, 22, who is Ramos’ boyfriend, and his brother Shawn Rose, 24, strolled in with realistic-looking pellet guns in a failed robbery attempt.
Shawn Rose was shot dead and Justin Rose was shot in the neck after threatening the two employees and a lone customer, police said. They have said the 35-year-old customer seized the opportunity when Shawn Rose looked away after pistol-whipping him and pulled his personal Glock .45 handgun from his jacket, shooting both men.

Police allege that Justin Rose was on the phone with Ramos and Soto, his mother, when the attempted robbery went bad and the customer defended himself.

“Several hours after the robbery, Soto and Ramos went to the Middletown Township Police Department seeking information about the condition of Shawn and Justin Rose. At that time, the co-owner of Porfirio’s identified them as the women who had entered his business just before the robbery,” authorities said in a statement.
Justin Rose is facing charges of robbery, conspiracy, simple assault and reckless endangerment but has not been arraigned due to hospitalization from the shooting.

The customer who shot the brothers, who planned in advance to rob the pizza shop, was cleared of wrongdoing by authorities.
Both women remain in prison unable to post bail.
