Johnson fled the scene along with a couple – Brittany Dorio, 19, and Mathew Lily, 29, both of Philadelphia – who were involved in the robbery that turned ugly. The couple was captured shortly after but Johnson slipped through an extensive manhunt that involved police from several departments. Despite having dyed orange hair at the time, Johnson was not located and was believed to have slipped into Philadelphia.

The owner of the dog awoke during the crime when Cash began indicating someone was at the Goldengate Road home where he lived with his family. He went downstairs and saw Dorio at the door and asked what she was doing. The man walked outside after he noticed his white motorcycle was missing. Once outside, Johnson held a gun to resident’s head and tried to get into the man’s home, where his family slept, police said.

Cash ended up sneaking past the resident and was shot by Johnson, police and the resident said. At least three shots were fired, with at least one striking the dog.

Johnson is originally from the Venice Ashby section of Bristol Township.

Bristol Township detectives contacted the U.S. Marshal Service after they suspect Johnson fled Bucks County and may have been hiding out in Philadelphia, Acting Lt. Ralph Johnson said in an email.

The 22 year old was arraigned on charges including conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to commit theft, conspiracy to commit burglary and other offenses. He was sent to Bucks County prison on 10 percent of $200,000 bail.
