Roofing Contractor Gives Back To Frontline Workers With Free Repairs, Roofs

The hard work and tough conditions faced by frontline health care workers inspired USA Roof Masters’ Owner Tom Kovack to begin a program to offer free roof repairs and replacements for those workers.

As the pandemic raged over the past year, a local roofing contractor (click here now ) has given back to the frontline health care workers in the area.

“We saw how much they were going through and gave back,” said Kovack.

Charity Hundeyin, who lives in Levittown, was among the frontline workers who benefited from the program from USA Roof Masters.

The roof of her home had sprung some leaks and the water seeping in had caused damage, including to the home’s boiler.

Last spring, Hundeyin, who was furloughed from her full-time job at an adult daycare when the pandemic began on March 16, quickly started an expanded role employed as a home health care provider. The job had her working more than 40 hours per week and repairing her roof wasn’t a priority.

Hundeyin said she came across a social media post advertising USA Roof Masters’ program to assist health care workers in April. She quickly sent an email and quickly heard back.

“We will fix it. As soon as we know your address we will be able to let you know which day we can get there. You are appreciated,” Kovack wrote back in an email.

Shortly after, the USA Roof Masters team got to work and surveyed the roof. The team implemented some temporary fixes and got to work a few weeks later replacing the roof. You can see here, how efficiently and rapidly they completed the work.

Hundeyin said the entire roof replacement took just hours and was hassle free.

“It took them only seven hours to complete the new free roof, but I feel like I’ve been gifted a lifetime’s worth of not having to worry about whether the weather is going to affect the inside of my house or not,” she said. “I have more of a collected peace of mind.”

Since last spring, USA Roof Masters, which offers roofing repair and replacement of roofs, has completed 120 projects at no cost for health care workers as a way to give back, said Kovack.

USA Roof Masters has won the “Best of Home Advisor” three times, as well as being a Platinum Preferred Roofing Contractor that only 1 percent of roofers nationwide qualify for. The company is considered a Certified Contractor through roofing manufacturer GAF and an Accredited Professional Member of the American Policyholders Association.
