Scammers Target Pennsbury Parents

The Pennsbury School District is warning families to watch out for phone scammers attempting to collect fraudulent fees for SAT preparation courses.

Callers falsely claiming to represent Pennsbury are contacting parents about their students and demanding a $250 phone payment for SAT prep classes, according to the district.

School officials warned that the district is not responsible for these calls.

Administrators advise families to remain cautious regarding unsolicited phone calls asking for money, personal details, or financial credentials. Parents who receive a suspicious call claiming to be from the district should refrain from sharing payment or personal information.

Instead, they are asked to contact the district or their student’s school directly using verified contact information listed on the official Pennsbury School District website.

Officials stated that Pennsbury High School does offer legitimate SAT prep courses. The legitimate district programs provide test-taking strategies, practice, content review, and personalized feedback.

• Math courses begin September 22

• Reading/Writing courses begin September 28

• Classes are $42 each

• Registration and payment are completed through PaySchools

• Additional course dates are available

School officials are asking community members to help spread the word to be sure families are aware of the unsolicited calls demanding immediate payment.
