Five Flee After High-Speed, Wrong-Way Crash

A driver and four passengers fled the scene of a wrong-way crash along Route 1 earlier this week.

On Monday at 12:59 a.m. on Route 1 northbound in Langhorne Manor Borough, a 2008 Toyota Tacoma traveling south in the northbound lanes struck the guide rail on the left side of the highway, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

After the wreck, the Toyota continued southbound before overturning, state police said.

The pickup truck came to a final rest on its roof on the concrete median that separates Route 1 from an access road, state police said.

Troopers said the driver and about four occupants left the area and didn’t notify law enforcement officials.
