President Donald Trump shared a social media post and video Tuesday featuring Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity and affirmed his support for the Republican gubernatorial candidate.

In a video posted to his Truth Social platform, Trump stood alongside Garrity and praised her campaign.
“Stacy is running to be the next Governor of the GREAT Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,” Trump wrote in the post accompanying the video. “She has my Complete and Total Endorsement. She will do a fantastic job!”
During the video, Trump offered additional encouragement to the state’s treasurer.

“Pennsylvania is very lucky because you have somebody running for governor who is going to do a fantastic job,” Trump said. “She really is a spectacular person. And I just want to wish you luck. I think you’re going to win.”
Garrity, who secured Trump’s endorsement earlier this year, has aligned herself with the president throughout her campaign. However, she noticeably did not mention him during a campaign stop in Bucks County last week.

Democrats criticized the video and Garrity’s ties to Trump.
“Stacy Garrity always sprints to any chance she gets to pledge her 100 percent loyalty to Donald Trump and his disastrous agenda — from standing on stage reciting his 2020 election lies to fundraising at Mar-a-Lago while Pennsylvania families pay more for everything,” said Ava Pitruzzello, spokesperson for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party.
Garrity trails Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro in the polls heading into the election season.
Speaking this week on “The John Fredericks Show,” Garrity expressed confidence in her strategy, stating she believes her message highlighting the “failed policies of Josh Shapiro” will resonate with voters.

The video was posted on the same day wrestlers from Penn State visited the White House after their national championship victory.
