NJ Man Hurt In Turnpike Crash

A New Jersey man was injured last Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bristol Township.

The wreck happened at 1:26 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the Turnpike near the bridge over the Neshaminy Creek, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

The crash happened when a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee attempted to change lanes, state police said in a press release.

The driver of the Jeep, a 47-year-old man from Jackson, New Jersey, lost control of the vehicle and struck a 2012 Acura TL, state police said.

After the initial impact, both vehicles struck a concrete barrier on the right shoulder.

State police described the damage to both the Jeep and the Acura as moderate.

The driver of the Jeep was injured in the collision and transported by the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in Philadelphia for treatment.

The driver of the Acura, a 24-year-old woman from Perth Amboy, New Jersey, was unhurt, state police said.

The driver of the Jeep will be cited for the crash, according to state police.
