Matthew Williams, 47, of the Levittown section of the township, was arraigned last Friday afternoon on charges of photo/film depicting child sex act, disseminating photo/film of child sex acts, child sexual abuse material, and criminal use of a communication facility. He was preliminarily arraigned before District Judge Kevin Wagner and held on 10 percent of $12 million bail.
Bristol Township police, the Bucks County Detectives, and the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office pulled up to Williams’ home on Goldengate Road last Friday morning to execute a search warrant in the case.
In late April, county investigators received a tip through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a user of Amazon Photos was tagged for uploading suspected child sexual abuse material.

The account was linked to Williams, according to police.
Investigators served administrative subpoenas to Google, Yahoo, and phone carriers that further link Williams to the accounts. They also searched government databases, police said.

Detectives located files with child sexual abuse material on Williams’ account, including what appeared to be AI-generated material, police said.
Investigators wrote in court papers that they continue to examine devices recovered from Williams’ home.
Williams denied viewing child sexual abuse material and claimed he might have been intoxicated at the time some files were created, police said.

The arrest appears to be linked to a Friday morning Facebook post in a neighborhood group that noted police staging near the Goldenridge neighborhood. Bristol Township police weren’t available for comment Friday.
