Bristol Borough Council announced this week the formation of a new committee to organize the parade following the resignation of Ellen Scancella, the decided resident who managed the event for more than two decades.
Bristol Borough Council President Ralph DiGuiseppe thanked Scancella for her years of service and assured residents that the parade will continue in 2026.
“The borough residents and council would like to thank her for her 21 years of service to Bristol Borough for the parade,” DiGuiseppe said. “But just so everybody knows that we have formed a committee that’s in full year right now and is doing everything they can to get this parade up and running for next year.”

“We’re very confident that you’re going to see a spectacular parade,” he said.
The newly formed committee is already working on arrangements for the 2026 parade.

The popular event in the borough also draws locals from surrounding towns.
