High school students from Bucks and Montgomery counties are invited to sharpen their skills behind the wheel at the 6th Annual Teen Safe Driving ROADeo.

The free event on on Wednesday, April 29, is hosted by the TMA Bucks Community Traffic Safety Program in partnership with the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services. It will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Montgomery Township Community and Recreation Center at 1030 Horsham Road in Montgomeryville.
Organizers designed the day to promote roadway safety through a mix of interactive education and hands-on demonstrations.
Students and chaperones will rotate through various stations led by traffic safety professionals, including a mock traffic stop conducted by law enforcement.

“If you’ve got a high schooler who’s about to get behind the wheel or just started driving, this is one event they won’t want to miss,” said Carly Wible, manager of the TMA Bucks Community Traffic Safety Program. “From hands-on demos to chances at some great prizes, they’ll have fun while picking up real-world tips to become safer, more confident drivers.”
The ROADeo is open to all local high school students, as well as school groups, clubs, and classes. While teens are not required to have an adult chaperone to attend, the event features a dedicated educational session specifically for parents, guardians, and chaperones.

Stations are located both indoors and outdoors, and officials advised participants to dress for the weather. The event will be held rain or shine.
In addition to the safety training, the event includes food, drinks, raffles, and giveaways.
