The Irene Boyle Senior Tax Assistance Program began accepting applications in January.
The program, which is named after a former school board member, was designed to mitigate the rising cost of living.
Per the district, the program offers tax rebates of up to $650 for eligible homeowners within the district.

To qualify for the 2025 program, residents must meet the following criteria:
- Homeowners must be at least 65 years old by Dec. 31, 2025.
- Total household income must be less than $35,000.
- Applicants must report 100 percent of all income sources, but only half of Social Security or Railroad Retirement benefits are counted toward the limit.
The district said efforts are made to mail out applications automatically.

New applicants can obtain forms starting in January via the district website, local tax collector offices, or by calling the district business office at 215-809-6520.
The program has been in place since 1977, and the district has issued more than $3.3 million in total rebates.
Last year, more than 270 senior citizens benefited from the program.

District officials also advised seniors to look into the Pennsylvania Property Tax program.
While the district does not process state rebates, officials noted that residents who qualify for the local program likely qualify for the state program.

Rebates for the state program are distributed in addition to the Neshaminy rebate.
