The crash took place Sunday, Feb. 1, shortly before 5:30 p.m. at the I-95 bridge spanning Newportville Road and the Neshaminy Creek in Bristol Township.
Pennsylvania State Police said the 43-year-old woman was traveling southbound in a 2024 Mercedes GLC when she “incorrectly negotiated a left-hand curve in the roadway.”
The vehicle struck a snow pile on the shoulder, went airborne off the highway at the bridge, and crashed onto Newportville Road below, state police said.

The Mercedes then smashed over a guardrail and came to a rest against a tree just feet from the icy waters of the Neshaminy Creek.
Newportville Fire Company Chief John Doster said firefighters used a ladder to reach the wreckage and assist the woman up the embankment.

The woman sustained minor injuries to her face and neck, including superficial lacerations and abrasions, troopers said.
The woman was transported by the Bucks County Rescue Squad to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in Philadelphia. She also had blood drawn for testing, state police said.
Troopers said they determined the woman was driving too fast for the road conditions and suspect she was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

State police said they plan to file charges at a later date.
Towing crews spent about an hour removing the vehicle from the creek bank.
