On a busy Saturday evening, moviegoers in Middletown Township was rushed from their seats due to a threats.

The incident happened at the Regal United Artists Oxford Valley movie theater by the Oxford Valley Mall.
Several people said movie theater staff cleared the building and films were stopped in progress.
Middletown Township police Capt. Peter Feeney said there was a threat of a bomb in the building and references to a possible shooting.

“The theater was evacuated and our explosives detecting K9s and their handlers did a sweep of the building,” Feeney said. “Nothing was found and the scene was cleared.”
Township detectives are looking into the threats and who made them, police said.
