The Broadway musical, which is inspired by the classic Charles Addams cartoons, opened Thursday and is scheduled to run through Sunday, Feb. 8.
The show features a large cast of student performers, and the family’s signature dark humor with an original score, elaborate choreography, and professional lighting effects.
The story centers on a grown-up Wednesday Addams, whose secret romance with Lucas Beineke — a “normal” young man — throws her eccentric household into a tailspin. The plot reaches a breaking point during a dinner hosted for the Beinekes, where the collision of the two vastly different families leads to comic mayhem and exposed secrets.

The musical explores themes of honesty and acceptance, concluding that being different is a quality worth celebrating.
Performance times for the remainder of the run are Friday, Feb. 6: 7 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 7: 1 p.m., and 7 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 8: 1 p.m.
Tickets for the production at the high school at 2001 Old Lincoln Highway in Middletown Township are available for $10 plus fees when purchased in advance at www.neshaminy.org/musical. Tickets sold at the door are $12.
