The incident took place on Dec. 16 around 4:20 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95 in Bensalem Township, according to state police.
A 63-year-old Philadelphia man told state police he was driving a 2020 blue Mazda CX-5 when a white tractor-trailer began following him at an “unsafe speed and distance.”
As the truck passed the Mazda, the driver of the tractor-trailer threw a flashlight through the victim’s open passenger-side window, state police said.

The tractor-trailer did not stop after the assault and was last seen continuing northbound on I-95, state police said.
