

A malfunctioning snowblower sparked a fire that damaged a Bristol Township home on Saturday night.

Crews were dispatched to the report of a blaze on Corn Flower Lane in the township’s Levittown section just after 8 p.m.
Firefighters arrived within five minutes of the emergency call to find a large wooden shed engulfed in flames, with the fire extending into the adjacent residence, according to Levittown Fire Company No. 2.
Firefighters worked to put water to the flames and prevented the blaze from spreading further into the home, the fire company said.

The blaze was placed under control within 30 minutes.
Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito investigated the blaze and ruled the fire accidental. Dippolito determined the cause was a malfunctioning snowblower.

No injuries were reported during the call.
The Levittown Fire Company No. 2 was assisted at the scene by the Edgely Fire Company, the Fairless Hills Fire Company, and the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad.
