Two drivers were hospitalized Sunday morning after a head-on collision involving a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Mill Creek Road.
Officers responded to the two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Mill Creek Road and Orangewood Drive at approximately 7:55 a.m., according to the Bristol Township Police Department.

A preliminary investigation shows that a 2016 Nissan Sentra was traveling east in the westbound lane of Mill Creek Road. The Nissan struck the rear driver’s side of a 2011 Hyundai Elantra that was traveling west in the proper lane near the Orangewood Apartments, police said.
After the collision, the Nissan came to an uncontrolled stop after hitting a tree and a traffic signal, and the Hyundai came to an uncontrolled rest in the apartment complex parking lot.
Firefighters worked for approximately 20 minutes to extricate the drivers from the vehicles, according to a statement from Levittown Fire Company No. 2.

Both drivers were transported by the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad to area hospitals.
One driver was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in Philadelphia, while the other was taken to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown Township, police said.

The Bristol Township Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Levittown Fire Company No. 2, Edgely Fire Company, and William Penn Fire Company.
The crash remains under investigation as of Sunday night.

Two people were hospitalized Sunday morning after a two-vehicle wreck left one car overturned.
Crews were dispatched to the intersection of Mill Creek Road and Orangewood Drive outside the Orangewood Apartments in Bristol Township’s Levittown section just before 8 a.m. according to Levittown Fire Company No. 2.

Responders arrived to find one of the vehicles on its side with the driver still trapped inside, and the other driver was a short distance away inside their car, according to reports.
Firefighters worked for approximately 20 minutes to extricate the drivers from the vehicles, the fire company said.

Both patients were treated at the scene and transported to an area hospital by the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad.
The force of the collision caused damage to the pedestrian signal at the intersection.
