A house fire in the Croydon section of Bristol Township was extinguished Friday night.

Firefighters from the Croydon Fire Company and several neighboring departments responded to the home on Euclid Avenue at 9:19 p.m.
Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said one resident was inside the house at the time of the fire. The individual was alerted by a sounding smoke alarm and was able to escape safely.
No injuries were reported in the blaze.

According to Dippolito, the fire originated near a power strip.
The home sustained heavy damage, and the residents have been displaced and are currently staying with family members.
