Langhorne Borough Council and other elected officials gathered to honor Mayor Joe Taylor and outgoing council members for their years of service to the community.

During the Dec. 10 meeting, Council President Nancy Culleton presented Taylor with a formal proclamation on behalf of the borough and recognized his time as mayor, which began more than a decade ago after then-Mayor Chris Blaydon’s time in office.
The mayor was also recognized by several high-ranking state and federal officials, including State Sen. Frank Farry, State Rep. Joe Hogan, and a representative from the office of Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, all Republicans.
Fitzpatrick’s office provided each outgoing official with a citation and a flag that had been flown over the U.S. Capitol. Additionally, the congressman entered an account of Taylor’s service into the congressional record to document his contributions to the borough.

Farry and Hogan also presented Taylor with citations.
Farry highlighted Taylor’s dual impact on the community, citing his dedication as both mayor and as the deputy chief of the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company.

The council also expressed gratitude to Councilperson Adam Zielinski, who was not in attendance but was recognized for his efforts to improve the community during his term, which concludes at the end of the year.
The evening’s acknowledgments concluded with a collective thanks to Taylor, Culleton, and Councilperson Anthony Marfia for their ongoing commitment to the borough.
Barry Truchil is scheduled to be sworn in as Langhorne’s next mayor in January.
