
St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown Township celebrated the arrival of its first baby of 2026 early Thursday morning.

The baby girl, named Nalina, was born at 1:17 a.m. on Jan. 1.

According to the hospital, Nalina weighed six pounds and 10.5 ounces and measured 20 inches long.
Parents Giana Nugent and Mark Johnson, of Philadelphia, said they are thrilled to welcome the new addition to their family.

Hospital officials noted the birth served as a joyful start to the year for the facility’s staff.
Nalina was the second birth of the new year in Bucks County.

Penn Medicine Doylestown Health reported that Henry Schamp, who was born to Sarah and Ryan Schamp of Ambler, was welcomed at exactly midnight. He is 20.5 inches long and eight pounds and 9.2 ounces.
