Several apartments were damaged after a Christmas Eve fire in Bristol Township.

Firefighters were dispatched to the Lavana Falls Apartments on Marion Avenue at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday for a report of an active alarm. Within a short time, the call was upgraded to an apartment fire.
Crews arrived to find a blaze in a third-floor apartment, Edgely Fire Company Chief Brian Cirard said.
Within a short time, firefighters put the blaze under control.
No injuries were reported, Cirard said.

Three apartments were damaged by fire and water, and its residents displaced, Cirard said.
Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said the blaze was caused by a candle on a stand in a closet. It was placed there as part of a religious ceremony.

In addition to the Edgely Fire Company, the Fairless Hills, Levittown No. 1, Levittown No. 2, and Third District fire companies responded. The Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue responded to standby.
Around the same time, firefighters were dispatched to an apartment complex in the township’s Croydon section for a reported apartment fire. However, the call was quickly to be determined to be a minor incident.
The fire comes less than 24 hours after crews were released from the hours-long rescue and recovery operation after a nursing home exploded in the township.
