

A residence in Bristol Township was damaged by a Friday blaze that drew several fire companies.

Firefighters were dispatched at 11:46 a.m. to a blaze in a home in the 5800 block of Fleetwing Drive.
Crews arrived to find fire in the living room of the dwelling, Edgely Fire Company Deputy Chief Carl Pierce said.
Firefighters worked to put down the flames in the home, which was connected to other dwellings.

Pierce said the fire was placed under control within 30 minutes.
Three residents were home and evacuated the structure.
No injuries were reported.

Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said the blaze was caused by an extension cord.
The home where the fire was suffered “significant damage,” and an adjoining home suffered smoke damage, Dippolito said.

The American Red Cross is assisting the residents displaced by the blaze.
Bristol Township Fire-Rescue, Croydon Fire Company, Edgely Fire Company, Fairless Hills Fire Company, Newportville Fire Company, Morrisville Fire Company, Penndel Fire Company, and Third District Fire Company responded to the call.
