Highway Crash Leaves One Dead

A multi-vehicle crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike/I-95 northbound in Bristol Township on Friday afternoon left one person dead.

The fatal crash happened around 3:15 p.m. near the Bristol-Oxford Valley Road overpass, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

State police Cpl. Richard Levan told LevittownNow.com that the crash involved a utility truck striking the rear of a Geo Tracker.

The force of the impact pushed the Geo Tracker’s driver between two vehicles, state police said.

Authorities stated that the driver of the Geo Tracker was pronounced dead after being sandwiched between the vehicles.

The northbound lanes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike/I-95 were blocked for several hours while troopers conducted the investigation.
