The wins mark a sweep for the Democratic slate in the local county judicial races.

The victorious Democratic candidates are Linda Bobrin, Amy Fitzpatrick, Dawn DiDonato Burke, and Tiffany Thomas-Smith. They defeated the Republican ticket of Grace Deon, Chelsey Jackman, Joseph Pizzo, and Colin Monahan.

Bobrin currently serves as the countyโ€™s Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphansโ€™ Court. She must resign from that position to assume her role as judge. Her background also includes time as a Newtown Township supervisor and operating her own law firm.

Thomas-Smith brings two decades of experience as an attorney to the bench, having started her legal career as a public defender in Philadelphia.

Fitzpatrick, who is the countyโ€™s solicitor, previously worked for national law firms. She is not related to the Republican congressman.
