The violent crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. Thursday on Bristol Road, between Kelly and Pickertown roads in Warrington Township. The wreck involved a Toyota Camry sedan and a Ford Explorer SUV.

Police identified one of the deceased victims as Aziz Umidovich Amonov, 18, of Lower Southampton Township, who was the front-seat passenger in the Camry. Also pronounced dead at the scene were the Camry’s 15-year-old male driver and a 16-year-old rear-seat passenger, whose names were not released by police.

“We extend our deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the students, as well as to everyone in our school community who is mourning the loss,” he said.

The Warrington Township Police Department described the collision as a side-angle crash, with the most serious damage concentrated on the sedan’s passenger side.

Preliminary investigation indicates the sedan, traveling northbound on Bristol Road, lost control while approaching a downward crest in the narrow roadway, causing it to cross into the path of the westbound SUV.

The investigation into the cause of the crash “remains active and ongoing,” police said Saturday.
