This Halloween, Croydon Haunted Hollows is inviting the community to experience “Horror Icons: Famous. Feared. Forever.”

The display is a chilling tribute to the legends who defined horror itself and visitors are invited to step through the gates and into a living nightmare where cinematic fear meets the Croydon community.

The sensory-friendly haunt takes place on Halloween at at 507 Girard Avenue in Bristol Township’s Croydon section from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. The regular haunt runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Both are at no cost, but donations are accepted.

Inspired by the eerie artifacts of Ed and Lorraine Warren’s infamous occult museum, this year’s theme takes guests on a dark, immersive journey through horror history.

Discover eerie mementos from the world’s most terrifying tales, encounter our life-size Annabelle doll, silently watching from her case, survive the chaos of The Purge, where no rules—and no one—is safe, and face the ultimate fear in the Hall of Horror Icons, as Nosferatu, Ghostface, and Jason Voorhees await in the shadows.

Croydon Haunted Hollows is a nonprofit with a mission to make Halloween accessible to everyone.

“This isn’t just a haunt—it’s a yard of nightmares where the icons of terror live on,” said Croydon Haunted Hollows Executive Director Colleen Prendergast. “Every prop, set, and scene is built by volunteers who pour their heart and soul into this. They don’t just help during October—they’re part of a Halloween family that celebrates year-round.”

The sensory-friendly haunt provides a lower-light, lower-sound version of the walkthrough, ensuring families with sensory sensitivities or mobility needs can enjoy the magic of Halloween together.

This year’s attraction also includes haunted doll replicas on loan from Mary Jo Chudley of Penn Paranormal. Some of the doll replicas which have toured alongside the real Annabelle doll.

“We’re proud to be the first in the country to offer a fully sensory-friendly haunted walkthrough,” Prendergast said. “Families travel from all over to experience it, and while that’s amazing, my goal is to see sensory-friendly haunts in every community.”

The goal is taking shape through The Mellow Monsters Initiative, a national certification program launching next year. The program will help other haunted attractions learn how to adapt their spaces to be inclusive and sensory-aware.

“This is about changing the way the haunt world thinks about accessibility,” Prendergast said. “Everyone deserves a place in the story.
