Falls Township police said they were called to the Pennsbury School District warehouse on Cabot Boulevard East just after 9:30 a.m. Sunday for a reported burglary.

The responding officer determined that a GMC van registered to the school district had been stolen from inside the warehouse, according to police.

Thousands of dollars worth of damage had been caused on the interior of the facility, police said.

A detective was called to the scene to assist officers.

About the same time police were called to the warehouse, a New Jersey State Police trooper stopped the stolen Pennsbury van roughly 45 minutes away in Wall Township, New Jersey, after observing the vehicle with a cracked windshield and failing to maintain his lane, authorities said.
