NEARBY: Stolen Vehicle Chase Ends In Four Arrests On I-95

Pennsylvania State Police arrested four people Wednesday following a pursuit of a stolen vehicle on I-95 that started in Bensalem Township.

Troopers spotted a stolen Honda CRV, reported out of Upper Gwynedd Township, Montgomery County, traveling on I-95 southbound around 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, according to a press release from the Trevose station.

Troopers attempted a traffic stop near Mile Marker 26, but the vehicle failed to yield, leading to a chase.

During the chase, the stolen Honda struck state police vehicles twice, troopers said.

The stolen CRV briefly traveled northbound on the shoulder of I-95 southbound before all four people in it abandoned the vehicle near Frankford Creek in Philadelphia and fled on foot, state police said.

Troopers located and apprehended all four occupants, state police said.

All four people will face charges after the incident.

One trooper sustained a minor injury, but the occupants of the stolen vehicle were unhurt.

The incident is under investigation by the Troop M Trevose Patrol Unit.

Troopers from Bucks County were aided by state police Troop K of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Police Department, the Pennsylvania State Police Aviation Unit and the state police Troop M K-9 Unit.
