The township has submitted a $1.5 million grant application to PennDOT’s Transportation Alternative Set-Aside program to the address breaks in the sidewalks along Woodbourne Road, Assistant Township Manager Nick Valla said.
The grant application targets closing “a couple of sidewalk gaps” along the busy roadway.
The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission is helping facilitate the application process locally, according to Valla.

“This is an approximately $1.5 million request,” Valla said.
The sidewalk improvements are part of the township’s broader multimodal transportation plan, which looks to provide alternative transportation options beyond vehicle travel.
