Emily Rose Lynch, 42, was charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, simple assault, and harassment. She was preliminarily arraigned before District Judge Kevin Wagner and held on 10 percent of $2 million bail, which was later reduced by a Court of Common Pleas judge to 10 percent of $250,000.
Patrol officers and a detective responded to the 1900 block of Lincoln Avenue in Bristol Township’s Croydon section for a report last Tuesday of an assault on a caseworker.
According to court papers, the caseworker was there to meet with Lynch about a court hearing and health concerns.

The caseworker told police Lynch appeared intoxicated and smelled of alcohol.
The caseworker said she was speaking with Lynch inside the home when Lynch allegedly grabbed her chest, earrings and hair, pinning her face against a locked door. The caseworker said she felt pain in her chest and screamed for help, according to police.

After the caseworker screamed, a neighbor opened the door, and the caseworker fell onto the porch, losing her glasses. She ran from the home and got help, police said.
A detective at the call reported that the caseworker had deep red scratches on her chest and neckline.
In court papers, the detective wrote that he had been to the house for “previous investigations.”

Lynch pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a year of probation in 2024 for unauthorized use of a vehicle in Penndel Borough. She has had prior police interactions for disorderly conduct in Bensalem Township and public drunkenness in Bristol Township.
