The bridge work is part of a larger, $1 billion project to widen and overhaul a segment of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
The modernization project includes expanding the turnpike from four to six lanes, constructing new sound barriers, upgrading stormwater management facilities, and preparing for future highway connection ramps.
The project area spans from Bensalem Boulevard to the I-95 flyover connection.
