Prokopiak said the repaving of Hood Boulevard from St. Frances Cabrini to Old Route 13 is expected to begin in October and be completed this year.
The Route 13 bridge over the Conrail tracks is in the design phase, and no timeline for completion was available.
Prokopiak said the project is part of a five-county bridge repair initiative.

In the interim, PennDOT will patch the concrete in September. The work will be weather permitting.
A project to redesign and engineer the “hump” on Tyburn Road at New Falls Road to make it less severe will be put into the queue, but a timetable for completion was not available.

Work on the intersection reconstruction intersection is expected to begin in July 2026.
In other business, the supervisors granted a special event application for Prokopiak to hold a community event at Falls Township Community Park on Saturday, Sept. 6, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
