The Delaware and Lehigh Trail Crossing Study will focus on six local roadways.
The Delaware and Lehigh Trail is a more than 165-mile multiuse trail that connects Wilkes-Barre to Bristol Borough and links into the regional Circuit Trails and the East Coast Greenway, a 3,000-mile walking and biking route between Maine and Florida. In Bucks County, the trail is part of Delaware Canal State Park.
The six crossings being studied currently lack crosswalks, signage, or safe connections, officials said.

- Wheatsheaf Road
- Mill Creek Road
- Haines Road
- Edgely Road
- Airport Road

Trails can provide an alternative form of transportation in areas with limited car ownership.
The six crossings in this study are located within areas where up to 10 percent of households do not have access to a vehicle, and the Delaware and Lehigh Trail also extends the public transit network by connecting to SEPTA bus routes and rail lines, including at the Levittown Regional Rail Station.
Community input is being sought to help shape concept designs for the crossings.

The public is invited to walk or bike with the project team or stop by one of the crossings to share their thoughts during the tour.
