A Philadelphia man was arrested last week after Falls Township police responded to a report of suspicious activity at a lumber company.

Christian Huertas Cruz, 28, was charged with burglary, criminal trespassing and defiant trespassing in connection with an incident last Thursday. He also faces three counts of burglary, along with single counts of criminal trespassing, forgery, theft, access device fraud, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief for burglaries at other businesses in the township.
Officers were dispatched to a lumber company on New Ford Mill Road at 12:19 a.m. last Thursday after a security company reported a man on camera breaking through the main gate and entering a warehouse, police said.
Security staff watched the man walking around the warehouse before running back toward the main gate, police said.

An officer arriving at the scene found a silver Mazda near the main gate and a man matching the security company’s description.
Police said the man, who was identified as Cruz, was sweaty “as if he’d been recently running.”

Cruz was determined to be involved of several nearby burglaries at businesses earlier this month, police said.
Cruz was preliminarily arraigned by district judges in both cases and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
