Burlington-Bristol Bridge Will Have Overnight Closures

Drivers who use the Burlington-Bristol Bridge should anticipate overnight closures and traffic delays this week.

The bridge, which connects Bucks County and Burlington County, New Jersey, will be completely closed to vehicular traffic on Monday, July 21, and Tuesday, July 22, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. according to an announcement from the Burlington-Bristol Bridge Commission.

The reason for these overnight closures was not immediately clear.

Following the full closures, motorists can expect alternating traffic patterns on the bridge nightly from Wednesday, July 23, through Friday, Aug. 1. The alternating traffic impacts will run from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Friday.

The bridge is 2,300 feet and is two lanes.

The two-lane bridge first opened in 1931 and has undergone numerous upgrades since its construction.
