Mark Anthony McKay Jr., 23, of New Jersey, was sentenced by Bucks County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Raymond McHugh Wednesday with credit for time served. He will be required to register as a sex offender for 15 years.
McKay was convicted in the spring of possession of child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility after a waiver trial.
The investigation into McKay began in March 2022 when Middletown Township police and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The report indicated a Dropbox user had uploaded multiple videos and images of child pornography to the Dropbox server, authorities said.

Dropbox officials identified McKay as the user who uploaded the material and provided detectives with his name and email address.
Detectives reviewed the files and confirmed they contained child sexual abuse material.

Authorities identified McKay as a suspect through the cybertip report and the Dropbox user’s IP address.
A search warrant was obtained for the Dropbox account, which was in McKay’s name.
Detectives discovered 102 files containing child sexual abuse material, including the videos and images from the initial cybertip report.

In July 2022, a search warrant was executed at McKay’s apartment in the 800 block of Trenton Road in Middletown Township.
During the search, investigators seized multiple electronic devices, including a computer and cellphone. Authorities said additional child sexual abuse material was found on his cellphone.

McKay was first found guilty in a 2023 trial, but he was granted a new trial this year due to issues related to his legal representation.
