
The TMA Bucks Community Traffic Safety Program recently distributed free bicycle safety helmets to Pennsbury School District students.

Students from Walt Disney Elementary in Falls Township, Charles Boehm Middle School in Lower Makefield Township, and Pennsbury High School in Falls Township were honored as “health wellness winners” for logging the most daily healthy activities during May.

The program included a “Walk, Ride & Roll To School Day” as part of a district-wide health and wellness initiative.
Each winning student also received a new bicycle and was properly fitted for their free safety helmet by Carly Wible, manager of TMA Bucks’ Community Traffic Safety Program.

Edgewood Elementary School in Lower Makefield Township received a trophy for its school-wide efforts and 10 bicycle safety helmets from TMA Bucks to be distributed to students in need during the upcoming school year.

“Partnering with Pennsbury School District on their health and wellness initiative was a natural fit for our Community Traffic Safety Program,” said TMA Bucks Deputy Director David Walter. “Their dedication to promoting safety and well-being through physical, nutritional and mental health is truly commendable. Our Community Traffic Safety Program is all about working together to nurture a community that prioritizes health and safety and we are grateful for the opportunity to make a meaningful impact with Pennsbury School District.”
