

A Langhorne man has been arrested in New York after allegedly choking, sexually assaulting, and unlawfully imprisoning a woman last Friday, according to a police press release.

Drew Robert Small, 39, of Langhorne, Pennsylvania, was arraigned in Tioga County (New York) Centralized Arraignment Court and remanded to Tioga County Jail. He faces charges of second-degree burglary (Class C felony), third-degree burglary (Class D felony), third-degree aggravated sexual abuse (Class D felony), and second-degree unlawful imprisonment (Class A misdemeanor), according to the Owego Police Department.
Police in Owego, a town about 3.5 hours from Lower Bucks County, were dispatched to North Avenue around 6:45 p.m. Friday for a report of a disturbance. An officer observed a male and female leaving a local business, and the officer noted the woman appeared to be in distress, police said.
During the interaction, Small allegedly attempted to flee but was apprehended by a second officer, police said.

Investigators determined that Small had entered the woman’s apartment, choked her, and prevented her from calling for help by taking her cell phone. He then allegedly sexually assaulted the woman, police said.
According to police, Small then ordered the woman out of the building and attempted to force her into a vehicle against her will.

As Small attempted to force her outside, he was confronted by an officer, police said.
The Owego Police Department said additional charges are pending.
The statement said Small was held in lieu of $1 million bail.
