Fires Ruled Arson, Investigation Continues

The investigation into a string of fires, including one that heavily damaged home in Bristol Township’s Levittown section, continued on Thursday.

The arson fires all took place the same residence in the unit block of Yellowood Drive between early Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito confirmed to LevittownNow.com that all four fires have been ruled arson.

Bristol Township police detectives are now leading the “active investigation,” an official said.

“The Bristol Township Police Department does not believe the community is in any danger,” said police Sgt. Jason Mancuso.

The first fire was reported in the carport around 3:15 a.m. Tuesday. Two more small fires were set in the same carport between 4 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday but self-extinguished, Dippolito said.

The most severe fire broke out around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday and led to multiple fire companies to respond, according to Edgely Fire Company Chief Brian Cirard.

No injuries were reported in any of the blazes at the home.

The resident, a woman, and her dog were displaced in the wake of the blazes.
