The Bucks County Parks and Recreation Department’s Oxford Valley Pool remains closed after a leak prevented its scheduled May opening.

The 50-meter pool, which also features a wading pool and water slide, in Falls Township is currently unable to hold water, and the exact source of the leak has yet to be identified, county officials said.
According to a statement released from the Parks and Recreation Department, the leak became apparent when the pool was filled in mid-May for the season, after being winterized and remaining empty during the cold weather.
Work to address the issue began immediately upon discovery, officials said.

“Our team is working diligently alongside multiple contractors and County staff to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” the department stated.
The Oxford Valley Pool is one of the few government-operated pool facilities in Bucks County.

The pool’s closure has raised concerns among residents over membership costs.
The department assured members that fees “will be adjusted to fairly reflect pool availability once we are able to reopen.”
The main pool has a maximum depth of 4 feet 3 inches, while the small wading (kiddie) pool is 1 foot and 6 inches deep.

“We recognize how important this pool is to the community, and we are doing everything possible to get it ready for you,” the statement said.
County officials thanked the public for their patience and support.
