Ali Memis, 64, of Bristol Township’s Levittown section, is facing numerous charges, including attempted indecent assault, attempted statutory sexual assault, and unlawful contact with minors.

Police said that on May 1, Memis began an online conversation with a juvenile female on a social media app whom he believed to be 13 years old. Over the following week, the conversation became sexual, with Memis allegedly sending messages expressing his desire to perform various sexual acts on the child and wanting to meet in person.

Police said that Memis repeatedly instructed the girl to delete her text messages and photos and inquired if her mother could track her phone.

On Thursday, May 8, Memis drove from his workplace in New Jersey to the childโ€™s apartment complex, police said.
